The harness adjustment strap on the car seat may loosen during use. If this happens, the harness can become too loose around the child, potentially increasing the risk of injury in a crash. No injuries have been reported.
DJG recommends that parents replace the harness adjustment strap as soon as possible, and will provide all registered car seat owners with information on how to obtain a free repair kit.
In the meantime, the company says, parents may continue to use the car seats, taking special care to adjust the harness strap snugly. If the strap won't tighten or remain snug, DJG suggests using a different car seat until the repair has been made.
Here's how you can heck for harness slippage: Fully tighten the harness, then pull on the straps without pressing or lifting the harness adjustment lever. If movement occurs, the harness is slipping.

The recalled car seats were manufactured from November 2003 through December 2005. You'll find the date of manufacture and model number on a sticker on the side or back of the seat. The affected model numbers are as follows:
