Back to School ShoppingIt's back to school season, and that means back to school shopping.
Consumers spend over 5 billion dollars in back to school shopping.
A new Harris Interactive study for Kronos Incorporated found that while retailers are cashing in on back to school shopping, they may be missing out on another type of shopper. The survey revealed 68% are shopping for themselves even if they are not going back to school.
"To earn the business from back to school shoppers, whether its for school related purchases or not, retailers need to focus on providing better customer service," says Kronos Incorporated's Stuart Itkin.
Itkin says the challenge is for retailers to be prepared for the volume of traffic during this time of year.
