In the reggae-infused track, the Simple Life costar longs for an unrequited love. For the video, Paris frolics by the ocean with a shirtless hunk, a la Madonna's "Cherish."
Paris Hilton announced "Stars are Blind", a reggae influenced track produced by Fernando Garibay, as the first single. Her producers for the album include Greg Wells and Kara DioGuardi, Jane Wiedlin from The Go-Go's and Scott Storch.
"She has a natural singing talent," says Stacy Guaraseva, author or Def Jam Inc, about Paris’ new album. "It's going to be a guilty pleasure."
"The CD will definitely go platinum," predicts music producer Jazze Pha, who's worked with Diddy and Nelly. "It will surprise skeptics."
Paris Hilton started working on an album in 2004. The album, has had rumored titles of Paris Hilton, Paris Is Burning, 1 Crazy Party and Screwed. The final title announced for the album is simply self-titled; Paris.
Paris Hilton has indicated that the album will feature a number of genres of music, including pop, reggae, and hip-hop.
Paris Hilton is also the founder of her own Heiress Records, the label on which she plans to release her debut album. It is a sub-label of Warner Brothers Records and was created in 2004. Hilton also plans to eventually sign new artists.
