Jessica Simpson is keeping her lyrics clean in her new album.

Jessica has chosen to remain upbeat in her new album despite estranged husband Nick Lachey putting his heart on his sleeve with his post-break-up record.

The album including tracks such as "I Can't Hate You Anymore" and "On Your Own" is very cheerful indeed. New album, "And the Band Played On," is set to be released August 29 with Epic Records.

 

"She's talking about having fun with her girlfriends. Enough has been said. Let's go on and live our lives," explains Jessica Simpson's father, Joe.

"It's a lot like Mariah's [Carey] record, you know. They're both the same kind of singers, they're both ballad singers."

Jessica Simpson's next single "Public Affair" hits radio at the end of June 2006. The singer/actress has launched a shoe collection released in major department stores across the U.S.
