Tiësto is coming back to Toronto! On Thursday, June 30th, Tiësto along with Tone Depth of Montreal will kick off the start of the Canada Day Long Weekend as they perform live at the Docks Nightclub and Concert Theatre.

Ti¸sto has set forth to bring Toronto the most extraordinary live experience full of visually stunning elements and special effects.

In Toronto, Tiësto will play some old and new tracks, including his latest tracks from his new album, "Just Be", an album Tiësto describes as better then "In My Memory" and is "definitely the way forward for trance music."

Unlike the 2002 Dutch Dimension gig, Tiësto’s current Just Be tour will be supported by Montreal’s Tone Depth who is considered to be one of the most promising young artists on the progressive music scene.

In Toronto, Tiesto will play 6-hour extended set, a special set that Tiësto plays exclusively here, out of all the cities in North America.

Earning the title the #1 DJ in the world for the last three consecutive years in a row is an honor that no other DJ has ever succeeded. Only in 2003 Tiësto has won three TMF awards (Holland & Belgium), 2 Dutch DJ awards, one MTV Holland award, and was again number 1 in DJ Magazine’s top 100. It’s been the first time a DJ got this spot twice in a row.

One of the most exciting career highlights Tiësto considers playing at the opening ceremony at the 2004 Olympics in Athens.

"I was so honored and thrilled by the idea that I could play my music for 15,000 athletes, 70,000 people in the stadium, hundreds of presidents from all over the world and over 4 billion people at home, that I didn’t have to think twice," says Holland-born Tiësto, who recently closed a fundraiser in the Netherlands for Asian tsunami victims.

"I am happy that I can make an actual difference in peoples' lives and that’s what I am most proud of," says Tiesto, "I’ve always said in the beginning of my career that I wanted to make a difference, and now I know my dream came true and I am still living it."

DJ Tiesto will play in The Docks Concert Theatre on June 30th. Doors open 10pm.
