Kylie Minogue, 36, is being preparing for breast cancer surgery at a private hospital in Melbourne.
She will have a surgery Thursday, at the Calbrini Hospital in Malvern, according to CNN report.
Initial tests showed the cancer was confined to the breast and Kylie Minogue would undergo surgery later in the week, her management said in a statement on Thursday.
According to the statement, Kylie's surgery will be in the hands of one of "Australia's leading surgeons."
Breast cancer surgery would usually involve cutting out just the cancer if it is small enough, or removing the entire breast, followed by radiotherapy and possibly chemotherapy.
Kylie Minogue suddenly cancelled her pending Australian "Showgirl" tour on Tuesday announcing via her promoter, that she was battling early stage breast cancer.
Kylie has been so not lucky – according to statistics, at the age of 36, she has a one in 200 chance of getting breast cancer, although the average lifetime risk is about one in nine.
