Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt Start Filming in Karachi

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt's collaboration "A Might Heart" based on the kidnapping and murder of US journalist Daniel Pearl has begun shooting in Pakistan.
Angelina Jolie will playing the role of Mariane, while Brad Pitt is a producer for the movie based on Pearl’s widow Mariane’s book "A Mighty Heart: The Brave Life and Death of My Husband Danny Pearl." Brad Pitt's Plan B is producing.
The movie was originally set up at Warner Bros. but moved to Paramount when Brad Pitt relocated Plan B there, Empire Movies revealed.
The movie, which is being directed by Michael Winterbottom, details Mariane Pearl's search to locate her husband after he went missing in Pakistan. Also a journalist, she was pregnant at the time. The drama ended as Pearl was murdered by his abductors, suspected to be Muslim terrorists tied to Al Qaeda.
According to Dawn newspaper, filming for scenes began under tight security at the Metropole hotel where Pearl was last seen when he hired a cab after crossing over the road from Village restaurant.
Filming will also take place at the shallow grave where Daniel Pearl’s decapitated body was recovered in a compound on outskirts of Karachi.
New mom Angelina Jolie is currently voicing a character in DreamWorks Animation's Kung Fu Panda.
Angelina Jolie stars later this year with Matt Damon in Robert De Niro's The Good Shepherd and will star in Robert Zemeckis' Beowulf which Paramount will release in fall 2007.
