Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, starring Johnny Depp, is expected to gather another 28.3 million dollars over the weekend.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, another stunning collaboration of director Tim Burton and his male-muse Johnny Depp, was released two weeks ago with highly successful toll of 114.1 million dollars, according to the Los Angeles-base box office tracking firm Exhibitor Relations Co. Inc.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is based on a popular children’s book by Roald Dahl – yes, curvy British model Sophie Dahl is related!

In Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Tim Burton brings his vividly imaginative fairy-tale style to the beloved Roald Dahl classic about eccentric chocolatier Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp) and Charlie Bucket (Freddie Highmore), a good-hearted boy from a poor family who lives in the shadow of Wonka's extraordinary factory.

Wedding Crashers, a comedy starring Owen Wilson and Vince Vaughn, is expected to gross 26.2 million dollars, and the weekend take of Fantastic Four is placed third with 12.2 million dollars.
