Herbie, the most beloved car star, and Lindsay Lohan, redhead-turned-blonde, take audiences for an action-packed spin in this high-speed comedy.
Herbie is back and Lindsay Lohan's got him in Disney's all new revved-up comedy adventure, Herbie: Fully Loaded. All family members will enjoy this old-school Disney comedy with wholesome young people, clumsy villains and the only sexual hint coming between two automobiles.
General Idea: Lindsay Lohan stars in family-friendly comedy film Herbie: Fully Loaded as Maggie Peyton, the new owner of Number 53 - the free-wheeling Volkswagen bug with a mind of its own - who puts the car through its paces on the road to becoming a NASCAR competitor.
Movie Plot: As a third-generation member of NASCAR family, Maggie loves racing, but all she is allowed to drive is a rusty, banged-up Volkswagen Beetle made in happy 1963. It doesn’t take Maggie long to discover that Herbie – that’s the car’s name – has a lot more to offer; in fact, a Bug has a mind of its own.
And when Maggie beats NASCAR champ Trip Murphy (Matt Dillon) in an impromptu road race, she starts dreaming serious dreams. And, naturally, wins The Big Race.
Style Notes: Herbie: Fully Loaded is perhaps the most tasteful family movie of recent. Apart from the European charm of Herbie, it delivers the true NASCAR spirit. Many of NASCAR's finest racers and real-life NBC\TNT NASCAR announcers, Allen Bestwick and Bennie Parsons, make cameo appearances in "Herbie."
Added Bonus: Herbie: Fully Loaded is the last chance to see Lindsay Lohan’s auburn locks. Sad, really, because she was the first ever red-head child model signed by Ford Models.
Bottom Line: With the strong supporting cast, likable on-screen Lindsay, stylish racing gear Herbie: Fully Loaded movie shows that the sky’s limit when you start tuning your old Honda.
Top Quote: when Herbie's speedometer goes over 200 mph, Maggie sarcastically notes, "Someone had a sense of humor."
