The 1997 film, Spice World, which starred Victoria Beckham and Melanie Brown, has been voted as the most unfashionable movie in a poll conducted by Amazon.co.uk.
Amazon.co.uk, which rents DVD's online, studied its rental charts and discovered that the movies which made it to the top 100 most rented DVD's were either ones that people were embarrassed to ask for, or those which did not receive high acclaim from critics. The Sound of Music and Annie have been ranked second and third respectively.
"We have found that DVD rental-by-post has created a new demand for toe-curling movies. Films like Spice World, Annie and The Sound of Music have been on the shelves untouched for a long time, with potential customers too ashamed to rent them out", Daily Mail quoted Matt Henderson, Amazon.co.uk's DVD Manager as saying.
