King of comedy Bernie Mac is back in action with his new movie "Guess Who." Mac plays Percy Jones, a loving father who isn't happy when he meets his daughter's new Caucasian boyfriend Simon, played by Ashton Kutcher.
Guess Who, a comedic remake of the 1967 classic racial issues dramedy Guess Who's Coming to Dinner reverses the ethnic clash of the original (starring Spencer Tracy, Katharine Hepburn and Sidney Poitier).
“It’s funny, it’s for everybody. You go see it and I guarantee – email me and let me know. Say Bernie Mac he just had us go see the movie, I’m telling you. It’s funny”, said Bernie Mac in an interview.

“The young boy is so smart in terms of knowing the craft, studying the craft. He’s not going to just go out there and you not just going to get him to do anything”, commented Bernie Mac on his co-star’s performance. “He’s going to dissect it, he’s going to study it and I was really impressed with him. And I’ll tell you something else; he knows what he’s doing.”
While the original was heavy on social commentary amid the civil-rights movement, Guess Who plays the interracial-romance angle for slapstick laughs – which is definitely not bad and worthy spending a night at movies.
