FLARE Magazine announces the 9th Annual Call for Nominations
FLARE Magazine and CIBC announce the Call for Nominations for the 9th Annual FLARE Volunteer Awards.
The awards honor Canadian women aged 18 and up who have made a significant contribution to the lives of people in their communities.
"The FLARE Volunteer Awards have become an integral part of FLARE's commitment to not only reach out to Canadian women but highlight their outstanding contributions in communities across the country", says David Hamilton, FLARE's publisher. Reflecting on the inspirational impact that volunteers have on our lives, Hamilton reconfirms that FLARE Magazine will continue to acknowledge, celebrate and publicize the importance of volunteerism.
The FLARE Volunteer Awards will be presented to six Canadian women. The six recipients will be invited to Toronto in the spring of 2005 as honored guests. They will participate in an awards ceremony and will be featured in a subsequent awards announcement in a national edition of FLARE.
2005 marks the 9th consecutive year of the Awards and FLARE is delighted that CIBC remains with this inspiring program as official presenting sponsor.
CIBC employees have a long and proud history of giving back to their communities by volunteering their time and expertise for causes in which they believe.
DEADLINE for nominations: 5:00 pm, Friday February 4, 2005. Individuals, corporate, volunteer and philanthropic organizations across Canada are encouraged to submit nominations.
