LUSH Glams Up The Holidays

Fun and innovative holiday collection from LUSH will help to stuff the stocking with just the right products… and to detoxify our beloved selves after endless parties, cocktails and boxes of chocolate.

Fun and innovative holiday collection from LUSH will help to stuff the stocking with just the right products… and to detoxify our beloved selves after endless parties, cocktails and boxes of chocolate.

Holidays with their glamour, gift panic and post-party depression are approaching fast, and LUSH has prepared a fun and innovative holiday collection with whimsical yet luscious beauty products. While it’s impossible to describe all the fizzy, scented, glittery goodness, we will browse through the very essentials – as we see them.

Stocking Stuffers
Mr.Snowball bath bomb is shaped like a tiny snowman figurine scented with cocoa and chocolate, while Christmas Carol Bath Bomb is fragranced with jasmine, ylang ylang and vetiver – very sophisticated. Both will look adorable as a gift to a girlfriend, nice female co-worker or as a stocking stuffer for the loved ones.

For people that you care about you can also stock some Christmas Kiss bubble bars, scented with cinnamon, muscovada sugar and - alas! - paprika. All these kitchen-born ingredients are claimed to restore circulation and even ignite some sexual spark.

We also loved the Teddy Bear's Christmas bath bomb - this one, scented with delicate honey fragrance is appropriate for little LUSH fans, too.

Party Prep
Merry Christmas massage bar is the most luxurious body moisturizer we have tried recently! Formulated with shea and cocoa butters, it’s scented with mood-alleviating black pepper, cinnamon and orange.

To boost up the party mood, massage some Party On temple balm on your wrists and temples, and glam up the rest of the body with golden sparkles of Glam Rock hair and body glitter. This solid golden puck made of golden dust works perfectly when applied directly on skin or dissolved in body lotion.

For those who don’t feel like holidays – and we all know that holiday blues hit unexpectedly – we recommend the Christmas Party bath bomb. Tried and loved. Scented with gardenia, orange and cognac, this bomb erupts tons of confetti and tiny plastic stars that rest on the water surface. You can pick a few and save for your Christmas cards - sending the ones from under your bottom to the least favourite addressees.

And when you do get out of this scented heaven, you are all clad in sparkles and stars – which made me look like Janet Jackson at the Superbowl. Somehow the giggly Christmas spirit was restored...

De-Toxy-Party
Randy Butter Cream is probably the only alcohol-packed cocktail that you will be willing to consume that proverbial next morning. Formulated with brandy, cognac and rum, this soap substitute is very moisturizing and uplifting (no wonder!) which makes up for a very unusual scent with a subtle hint of vanilla. The great way to enjoy cocktails in a healthy… LUSH way!

Despite the tell-tale name, Party On shower jelly works better when used during after-party. The jelly is claimed to cure the nastiest hangovers with fresh lime juice, fresh mint and menthol infusions. Mind you, this is meant to be used in the shower as a soap substitute. And the essential aromatheurapeutic oils of juniper, rosemary and lime work to tone and clarify the brain and the whole weary system.

Happy holidays! And stay well.

Truly yours,
Julie Gabriel
