Fashion Blog: Denis Gagnon, Spring/Summer 2006Moody couture at the runway during Denis Gagnon presentation of spring 2006 collection.
Firstly, it's impossible not to love Denis Gagnon. His trademark puffy sleeves, muted colors, distressed pleated leather are so quintessentially Brit in mood and still are so wearable.
Well, here's more of the same Denis Gagnon, with tasteful soundtrack and background film. Densely pleated leather isn't quite a summery fabric, but Denis managed to keep it light and airy with flowing light fabrics. Heavy ruching was also present, but without the overt sweetness that many designers employ to boost fashion sales. The color palette is classic Gagnon, with black/grey/white dominating over occasional splashes of terracotta.
What I loved: all things puffy, including shorts and baloon skirts.
Yours truly,
Julie Gabriel
