Marcia Cross' husband, Tom Mahoney, has been diagnosed with cancer.

The Desperate Housewife's rep said: "He is currently under treatment and is responding very well," but gave no further details about the stockbroker's condition.

The pair were married in 2006 and have twin daughters, Eden and Savannah, who are nearly two. "I'm so happy. Sometimes very tired, but mostly just a happy mother. I like to get [the babies] out now, just go out and show them the world. Say hi to the flowers," she said.

Marcia has credited her husband with her happiness. "His love makes me feel beautiful," she said after announcing their engagement.
