To get rid of disease, Christina Applegate took the big leap and had a double mastectomy, with immediate reconstruction.
The sunny girl she is, Christina is now has been telling friends and fans the she will now have cute boobs til she’s 90!
Christina’s mother also fought the disease and won, and as is recommended, Christina has been regularly tested since she turned 30.
She underwent an MRI testing, while the standard mammogram may not have detected her cancer for another 4 or 5 years.
Though MRIs are the best way to detect cancer, they are costly and rarely covered by insurance policies.
Christina Applegate is now attempting to use her star-power to change this sad situration.
“I’m putting together a program that’s going to raise money to pay for MRIs for women who are at high risk,” Christina Applegate explained.
