Jessica Simpson spent a weekend in a hospital - and no, she's not in the psych ward.

According to In Touch Weekly, Jessica Simpson spent the weekend in the hospital, suffering from a kidney infection.

"She checked in on Friday morning because she was feeling achy and had a fever,” a friend of the family confirmed to the mag.

“She is doing fine, but she is ready to get out of there,” they added.

Jessica Simpson was kept for observation through the weekend and is expected to be released tomorrow.
