Amy Winehouse Is Shown in Drug Use, Declines Rehab
Contradictory reports circulated online on Tuesday about whether Amy Winehouse had been taken to a rehab clinic.
Brit rocker Amy Winehouse was spotted entering the Edward House private rehabilitation clinic in London yesterday afternoon with her father by her side, The Daily Sun reported.
Yet, Winehouse's camp denies that singer is in trouble.
“Amy is not in rehab,” singer's rep said. “She was seeing a doctor who she regularly sees as part of her ongoing treatment. It was a regular appointment which she attends all the time. She has not checked in overnight.”
Meanwhile, a video showing Amy Winehouse, 24, using drugs, has leaked to Internet. The newly blond performer is seen squatting on a duvet, chatting with pals and prepping a glass pipe with rocks of crack.
In a blurry video Amy also appears to smoke crack and claims to have taken “about six Valium.”
The video was posted on the Web site for British tabloid The Sun at thesun.co.uk, and an accompanying article said the video was taken early Friday morning at Winehouse’s London home, and that the two-minute clip follows “a 19-minute binge in which she snorted powdered ecstasy and cocaine.”
Amy Winehouse's record label, Universal, said in a statement: “We are deeply disappointed and upset by these latest revelations and are doing everything we can to offer Amy our full support in dealing with her problems.”
