Paris Hilton recently said she "loves" Britney Spears and is thrilled to have found a new best friend, as the two celebs became virtually inseparable.

Britney Spears hit the party circuit weeks after filing for divorce from Kevin Federline, and have been out partying in Las Vegas and Los Angeles, Exposay reports.

Paris Hilton says she just wants to make Britney "smile."

"I love her. She is the sweetest girl I know. She's so down-to-earth. I just want her to smile and be happy," Paris told Us Weekly magazine.

 

Earlier this week, Paris' publicist Elliot Mintz insisted Britney Spears and her client had become so close they were like "sisters."

"What I've observed is that we have two extraordinarily powerful women who generate a tremendous amount of attention, money, and adulation and they're tired of other people trying to ride on their coat tails. Paris and Britney have become like sisters," Mintz said.
