Reese Witherspoon is suing Star magazine that claimed she was pregnant for the third time.

The cover story of Star magazine suggests that Reese Witherspoon was unwilling to tell the producers of her upcoming movies she is expecting again. To hide the belly bump, Reese, according to the tabloid, has been wearing baggy clothes and empire-waist dresses.

The Oscar-winning actress claims Star magazine invented the story and invaded her privacy.

 

Reese Witherspoon - who already has two children, six-year-old Ava Elizabeth and Deacon, two, with husband Ryan Phillippe - claims the story has hurt her reputation by implying that she was dishonest. The actress expressly denied everything implied by all of the above: Not pregnant. No baby bump. No weight gain. Hasn't been shopping for baby-related items.

Reese Witherspoon also claims she has suffered significant distress and damage to her good name because of the story. But wait, since when being pregnant became a shame? Even if you are not?

Notably, Julia Roberts, who has also been featured on the cover with the joint "Baby #3" allegations, hasn't spoken yet.

In April, Reese Witherspoon claimed she never reads her own press because she's sick of speculation about her private life.

Reese Witherspoon has always had shaky relationships with tabloids and paparazzi. In February, a paparazzo who was charged with battery after trying to snap shots of Reese Witherspoon and her kids at a theme park last fall has been found dead, E! reported at that time.
