Tom Cruise’s ex-wife, Nicole Kidman released a congratulatory statement through her publicist that said: "I hope both mother and baby are doing well."
No mention of Tom Cruise, though.

Nicole Kidman apparently refused, worried that it would traumatise the youngsters.
Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman married on Christmas Eve, in 1990. They adopted two children, Isabella and Connor.
Tom Cruise left Nicole Kidman three months pregnant, just shy of their 10 year wedding anniversary.
Nicole Kidman subsequently suffered a miscarriage. The marriage was dissolved in 2001. Much media speculation came about because of their reasons for this, but both celebrities maintained their privacy and were guarded in their public comments.
One persistent rumor claims however that Nicole Kidman's desire to bring up their children Catholic, and her critical views on Scientology caused problems in her marriage with Cruise, who is an outspoken follower of the teachings of L. Ron Hubbard.
It is rumored that Nicole Kidman never believed in Scientology, but accepted it to keep her husband happy.
