Michael Douglas says Brad Pitt was a fool to leave Jennifer Aniston.

Making his bid for team captain of Team Aniston, Douglas told GQ magazine: "I don't know about Brad Pitt leaving that beautiful woman to go hold orphans for Angelina. I mean how long is that going to last?"

And it's not just Brad Pitt whose behaviour he disapproves of.

"I mean, don't ask me what happened with Renée Zellweger," he contines.

"I don't know how you get married for four months. And Julia with Lyle. There must be some incredible things you find out one night. I mean, I don't know."

Brad Pitt married actress Jennifer Aniston in 2000, and they separated in 2005. There has been speculation that the marriage ended due to Jennifer Aniston's refusal to have children with Brad Pitt, which he greatly desired.

Brad Pitt started a romantic relationship with his then co-star Angelina Jolie, while filming Mr. & Mrs. Smith. Both Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie denied such relationship during his marriage to Aniston.

Jennifer Aniston, however, was not convinced and eventually filed for divorce which was finalized in late 2005.

Soon after that Brad Pitt began officially dating Angelina Jolie, though initially the two insisted they were just friends, and in January 11, 2006 it was announced that Angelina Jolie is pregnant with Brad Pitt's child.
