British Channel 4 apologized to Tom Cruise for the water incident. "The stunt was intended to be light hearted rather than malicious and we apologize to Cruise for any offense that was caused," a Channel 4 spokesperson said.

According to Sharon Osbourne, she was recovering from eye operation, and water squirting caused her pain.
