Leonardo DiCaprio was attacked by a woman at a private party in Hollywood.

The actor was attending a small gathering on Friday at the home of Rick Salomon, co-star in sex video of Paris Hilton.

At about 4 a.m. an unknown woman broke in the building and struck Leonardo DiCaprio in the head with a glass object which later appeared to be a beer bottle.

"While leaving a small private gathering, Leo was attacked by a woman who was trespassing and had been repeatedly asked to leave the property. The woman was reportedly looking for an ex-boyfriend, who she had apparently physically assaulted on prior occasions," Leonardo DiCaprio’s spokesperson was quoted as saying.

Leonardo Di Caprio was driven to a hospital where he received about a dozen stitches to close a cut near his ear.

The actor was in the Los Angeles while on a break from shooting of his new film "The Departed" being filmed in Boston and New York.

It’s still unknown if Leonardo DiCaprio plans to bring any charges against his attacker.
