Sandra Bullock received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, the same day her comedy "Miss Congeniality 2" opened nationwide.
Her award was placed beside Keanu Reeves', Bullock's co-star in “Speed” action thriller which paved the way into stardom for two actors.
"I no longer feel compelled, because of this honor, to carve my name into every wet cement board on a sidewalk," Bullock joked. "And now that I have this, I'm turning legit, so I thank you for that."
Guests at the dedication included William Shatner, Ernie Hudson, Diedrich Bader, George Lopez and Heather Burns, who co-stars in "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous."
Sandra Bullock’s other film credits include "Miss Congeniality," "The Net," "Hope Floats" and "While You Were Sleeping."
Bullock's Hollywood ceremony coincided with the US nationwide release of her new film “Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous.”
