Comedy Central has returned the "South Park" episode "Trapped in the Closet," which makes fun of Tom Cruise and Scientology, back to air. The episode with run starting July 19.
The Emmy-nominated episode was removed from the shows rerun schedule in May, much to the dissatisfaction of "South Park" creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, the Daily Variety reported.
The episode was reportedly pulled from air because Tom Cruise was unhappy with it. Tom Cruise's camp denies that actor has anything to do with that.
When the episode first run, Tom Cruise was in the process of launching "Mission: Impossible III" for Paramount, owned by Viacom. Comedy Central is also part of Viacom media empire.
"It's true we are not as big as Tom Cruise, but we've done two movies for Viacom and 10 years of 'South Park' episodes," Matt Stone said.
"If they hadn't put this episode back on the air, we'd have had serious issues, and we wouldn't be doing anything else with them."
