Model and actress Elizabeth Hurley will host a British version of the Bravo reality series Project Runway, slated to air next year.
The spin-off, named Project Catwalk, will allow aspiring designers to compete for the opportunity to display their designs during London Fashion Week.
Auditions to find twelve designers to compete on the show began in May, reports Reuters.
Bravo's first season of Project Runway, which was hosted by Heidi Klum, was a big success and finished with top ratings. A second season of Project Runway is already in the works.
The U.K. version will be quite similar to the Project Runway: it will feature a panel of fashion industry figures as judges, including a famous designer. It also will include a parallel competition featuring twelve models competing to be the designers' muses.
The show's three finalists among the design competitors will each showcase full lines on the catwalk during London Fashion Week in February, and the winning designer's garments and model will be photographed for a fashion magazine. The winning designer also will receive the necessary funding money to help launch his or her own line.
Elizabeth Hurley is currently trying herself as a fashion designer. She recently launched her Elizabeth Hurley Beach collection.
