Britney and Kevin: Chaotic premiered on Tuesday, with Britney shooting much of the reality-style show herself on hand-held camera.
The first episode of Chaotic features lonely Britney trying to have fun in London and Manchester, discussing marriage and commitment and insisting she didn't believe in marriage.
Britney said: "I've been married, but that was a different story... Love is like the biggest mystery to me."
Filming on the Chaotic show began before Britney met husband Kevin Federline in a Los Angeles nightclub.
On film, Britney says she is looking for "someone kinda sweet and nice and that loves me a lot".
Twelve minutes into the show we meet Kevin, a 27-year-old dancer. When asked his opinion on marriage, Kevin responds: "I don't believe in it," which promises a great future for the couple.
Honestly, we tried to watch the Chaotic to the end. Dark and confusing, it looked seriously underedited and plain messy even for this specific genre.
And we are not alone. The Hollywood Reporter called the Chaotic show a "featherweight journey into self-indulgence" while The Washington Post called the decision by the show's producers not to release advance copies "an act of charity".
With all due respect to Britney, we believe she could find a better vehicle to tell her story. Look at Kirstey Alley The Fat Actress.
