Fall hair styles may be simpler, but they don't lack the volume and bounce. Here are simple tips on how to add volume to your hair.
1. Cut Corners
Extra hair adds weight. If hair is one length, add long layers in the front for more movement and volume.
2. Turn it Upside Down
Blow-dry wet hair upside down. Once your hair is dry, switch the dryer to cool mode and direct it to your roots. This volumizing trick helps keep the scalp healthy.
3. Roll With It
Spray a volume boosting product like Citrus Lift Light Foaming Gel (Herbal Essences) at the roots. add velcro rollers and let hair dry. Take out rollers and finger comb hair lightly. You will get an instant volume for your hair that will stay next day, too.
4. Pin up Your Tresses
For an extra hair volume and curls, take an inch of dry hair, spritz with water, roll it into a pin curl and secure with a bobby pin. Repeat technique throughout your hair. Leave hair in pin curls for 20 minutes while getting dressed or applying makeup. After 20 minutes remove bobby pins and finger comb hair gently.
5. Hold It
To add volume to hair that's already dry, spray roots lightly with a finishing mist. Flip hair upside down. Blow-dry for one minute on gentle mode, and then switch cool dry.
