Nick Lachey told Jessica Simpson he is planning to walk down the aisle again.

According to reports, Nick Lachey spent 40 minutes on the phone to ex-wife Jessica Simpson, breaking the news - and probably her heart.

"I'm getting married again Jess and I wanted you to hear it from me," Lachey allegedly said about his matrimonial plans with MTV host Vanessa Minnillo whom he met on the set of the video clip.

Jessica Simpson, who filed for divorce from Lachey in 2005, is said to be taking then news very badly.

 

Despite claiming to be happy being single, Jessica Simpson often hinted she still had feelings for her ex.

"She knew Nick and Vanessa were serious, but this threw her. She did her best to contain her emotions," the source told Exposay.

Jessica Simpson, who has been single since the split, was rumored to be dating John Mayer but she has since dismissed the story.
