Nick Lachey seems to still have feelings for his soon-to-be ex-wife, Jessica Simpson.

“Even if she cheated five times over, I still love her,” Lachey told Rolling Stone magazine in an issue that hits stands later this week, saying he had no evidence that his wife cheated on him as has been rumored.

"I'd marry her all over again," Nick Lachey said. "Because I still love her. It would be a lot easier to walk away if I didn't."

Nick Lachey also told the magazine it was Jessica Simpson's idea to get the divorce.

 

"I'll tell you how I knew my marriage was over. I was told. I felt like someone sucker-punched me and took my life away," said Nick Lachey, 32, who reportedly broke down in tears six times during the interview.

"I never wanted to be a divorcé. I wanted us to be happy. I guess we differed on strategy," Nick added.

Five months after the split Nick Lachey is still upset about the end of the relationship.

"It breaks my heart that I couldn't make Jessica happy," he said. "I wanted to be everything to my wife."
