Starbucks Celebrates 35th Anniversary with Toronto Coffee Fest
Starbucks is celebrating the spirit of Coffee Fest right across Canada.
To mark its 35th anniversary, Starbucks Coffee Canada is bringing the celebration to coffee lovers in Toronto by hosting the first Toronto Coffee Fest. On Thursday, September 21st Starbucks welcomes coffee lovers outside to taste some great coffee and speak with a Starbucks Coffee Master about all things java.
Yonge & Dundas Square will be the site of Toronto Coffee Fest from 11 am – 2 pm. The event will feature a coffee exploration tour where coffee enthusiasts can visit coffee exploration “stations” to find out more information on coffee, enjoy Starbucks coffee samples and preview Starbucks fall beverages.
“Every Fall at Starbucks, we celebrate our passion for great coffee, which is why we are so thrilled to be taking our passion and our coffee expertise outside our stores and sharing it with the city,” says Kathleen Cook, Starbucks Coffee Master. “The event is open to everyone who would like to stop by and explore the world of coffee.”
Over 30 Starbucks Coffee Masters will be on hand to provide guided tastings and share coffee ideas and tips. The coffee exploration stations cover topics such as Starbucks coffee heritage, how geography determines coffee flavour, how to brew great coffee at home and a coffee aroma lab.
Starbucks has also embarked on a new adventure, this time online with Coffee Conversations, an audio program celebrating the art, science and culture of coffee.
A four-episode podcast series launched on September 5, Coffee Conversations is hosted by Starbucks Coffee Masters and welcomes special guests to share ideas and information on topics such as home-brewing methods, specialty coffee, entertaining, Fair Trade™ certified coffee and pairing coffee with different foods.
Coffee Conversations is available for direct download or as a podcast at www.starbucks.com/coffeeconversations.
