Fur Control: Nightclub Closes Doors to FursFamous New York nightclub Home is closing doors to anyone in furs, no matter what is the VIP status of the guest.
Steve Lewis, designer of the nightclub Home, is training his doormen to forbid entrance to anyone in fur—even if it’s Jennifer Lopez or P. Diddy.
"People come here to have fun," says Lewis. "Fur is a buzz kill."
Tommy Lee of Motley Cru, who reportedly felt happy and satisfied after shooting the naked commercial for PETA, has strongly condemned stars, who take pride in wearing fur.
"A lot of hip-hop artists wear fur and they think it’s a status symbol; that doesn’t register, I just see dead animals."
Home, a trendy nightclub in downtown Manhattan, is popular among A-listers like Nick Lachey and Jessica Simpson, Tommy Lee and the Gastineau Girls sipping $200 Moët or the $1500 magnum of Rosé.
