Like to find out what color-obsessed designers think about the latest color trends? That’s the idea behind Colourlovers.com, where people can post colors or palettes they like, vote on their favorites and send notes to other color enthusiasts.

The only hitch: Because everyone’s monitor is calibrated differently, not everyone sees exactly the same color, but printing is more accurate and contributors can specify Pantone numbers to be precise.

The site is “a sort of ‘color trends’ of the world written by the world itself,” said the site’s creator, Darius A. Monsef of Portland, Ore., a Web applications developer who has studied fashion design.
