According to a national survey, more than half responders admit having trouble getting out of bed. Almost one in four of the 1020 men and women queried hit the snooze button more than once or slept through the alarm!
So what gets people started in the morning? The survey, conducted by an independent market research firm for Kiss My Face, a leader in natural and organic personal care products, found that over a third chose some form of caffeinated beverages.
Taking a shower also ranked high with 35% of vote, while only 11% claimed that brushing their teeth did the trick. Even further down the list was sex (4%) as a way to rise and shine.
The survey also showed that when given the chance to include another benefit other than whitening in their toothpaste, women had high hopes.
A whopping 81% of the respondents said they'd like their toothpaste to provide vitamin supplements or boost their energy. More than one third (34%) would like their toothpaste to improve their mood.
And some women queried were not bashful, with 14% wishing their toothpaste could increase their sex drive.
