New York Daily News photographer John Roca was beaten by security at the Pink Elephant Club in posh New York suburbs, the Hamptons, while trying to photograph Jessica Simpson and her party.
Jessica Simpson was reportedly enjoying a night out with her celeb pal, Star Jones, when New York Daily News photographer asked security if he could take a few pictures.
"Before you could say Madonna four guys pounced on me," the photog told the media, according to BANG news source.
The photographer tried to hide his memory card in his pocket, and the bodyguards forcefully ripped his clothes trying to retrieve it.
A spokesman for Jessica Simpson insists the incident had nothing to do with her security.
has also released a statement in support of his celebrity clientele.
"Jessica was not even aware of the incident," club owner, David Sarner, confirmed.
However, the photographer has stood by his claim and filed a report with local police.
