Seems like social circles in Hollywood are so tightly wound up, it's impossible to score a date without hurting someone's feelings. Wherever you step, it's someone's ex, someone's current, someone's best friend. What's a lonely bachelor to do?

In another episode of her "Newly-Divorcees" saga, Jessica Simpson is furious that her soon-to-be ex-husband Nick Lachey is back with MTV presenter Vanessa Minnillo because they used to be good friends.

Jessica Simpson and Vanessa Minnillo had enjoyed girls' nights out together in the past, claims UK tabloid Daily Dish based on Vanessa's father.

 

And Jessica had even confided in Vanessa when her marriage was in trouble.

However, Nick lachey picked Vanessa Minnillo to appear in his recent music video, "What's Left of Me." They were spotted together around L.A. looking pretty much an item.

"Jessica was bothered by that, but she was willing to let it slide because she knows how badly Vanessa has wanted to get into acting," comments a pal.

"It's painful and hurtful," adds the friend.
