Britney Spears is said to have turned to Alexander - whom she married in Las Vegas brief ceremony and divorced 55 hours later in 2004 - for comfort following a series of rows with husband Kevin Federline.

Britney Spears has allegedly been slipping off to Alexander's posh Los Angeles apartment under the pretext of visiting her dad Jamie, who lives in the same area.

According to very knowledgeable News of The World newspaper: "She used to visit once a month, but now it's more regular."
