The Swedish carmaker Volvo brings advanced design to the event with the launch of the new C70.
Working in partnership Pininfarina, Volvo has succeed in creating an attractive convertible which, at the mere touch of a button, converts into an equally elegant coupe.
The all-new Volvo C70 is about the same size as the previous generation Volvo C70 and provides spacious seating for four.
Developed to offer new standards of preventive and protective safety in the convertible market, the car has an advanced body structure and several solutions that make it unique among open-top cars.
"It's a very special experience to see half the car open up and swallow the other," says Fedde Talsma, Project Chief Designer for the all-new Volvo C70.
"One simple press of a button and the transformation takes place automatically and the whole process takes just thirty seconds."
"It is a very Swedish approach to design, simplicity and elegance wrapped into one car. It may be a bit dull, but it is a very beautiful car," commented Autoblog.com on Volvo C70 debut.
