Frankfurt Auto Show Highlights: New Jaguar Design Concept
Notable launches at the 2005 Frankfurt Auto Show include the entirely new Jaguar XK which takes the British carmaker to new heights of sporting prowess.
The bi-annual Frankfurt Auto Show is once again set to provide the automotive industry with an opportunity to impress the public with the latest in car technology, design, safety and luxury.
Notable launches at the 2005 show include the entirely new Jaguar XK which takes the British carmaker to new heights of sporting prowess by packaging greatly improved driving dynamics with a stunningly modern, yet entirely Jaguar design.
The vehicle is Jaguar's most advanced to date and makes use of aerospace technology alongside Jaguar's traditional engineering know-how to create a luxurious, powerful and highly advanced sports car.
Light and agile, the all-new XK accelerates faster, stops quicker and has exceptional dynamic abilities, as Jaguar's Chief Engineer Mike Cross, explains: "The all-new XK will deliver a balance of superb driving dynamics and comfort that is the epitome of sophisticated sporting luxury."
Jaguar design director Ian Callum describes the all-new XK as having “clean lines, a purposeful stance and exquisite proportions”.
"The fundamental values of Jaguar design do not change," explains Callum. "We took influences from our heritage and evolved them to produce a car that is beautiful, visually fast yet undeniably modern; just as (Jaguar founder) Sir William Lyons' own designs were in their day."
