As automakers unveil new models and concepts at the 61st International Motor Show in Frankfurt, they're betting consumers haven't had their fill of SUVs.
In fact, the Chrysler Group's Jeep brand unveiled two new concept SUVs, the Jeep Compass and Jeep Patriot.
“Jeep has had a great reputation. It's the greatest brand really in the world for us and it's known everywhere around the world as well. And people really said when are you going to expand it, you only have a few offerings. So now we're up there. Now we'll be really growing the brand worldwide,” says Tom LaSorda, President and CEO of the Chrysler Group.
The Patriot Concept is designed to appeal to SUV buyers who want maximum cargo volume and off-road capability, while the Jeep Compass Concept is more sophisticated with rally car inspired styling.
