Gisele Bundchen has been named as the richest supermodel in the world by Forbes.com, who worked out her earnings over the last 12 months as $33 million.

The Brazilian supermodel has earned her fortune through lucrative contracts with Victoria's Secret, Dolce & Gabbana and Roberto Cavalli. She has dismissed rumours that she was pregnant by her new boyfriend, American football star Tom Brady.

Second in the list was Kate Moss, who reportedly earned $9 million last year.

 

Heidi Klum, another Victoria's Secret model, came third, with annual earnings of $8 million.

Forbes.com explained that editors based their rankings on "relevancy", relating to a model's campaigns, magazine covers and industry insiders' opinions.
