British supermodel Naomi Campbell pleaded guilty before a court on Tuesday to avoid imprisonment for slapping a maid.
"I threw a cell phone in the apartment. The cell phone hit Ana," Campbell told Manhattan Criminal Court, "This was an accident because I did not intend to hit her."
Infamous for throwing tantrums, the diva will do five days of community service indoors.
The court also directed Campbell to reimburse Scolavino for 363 dollars in medical expenses, and undergo an anger management program.
Naomi Campbell, 36, lost her temper with maid Ana Scolavino last March when she could not find a pair of designer jeans she owned, and in a fit of rage threw a cell-phone at the latter.
Naomi Campbell has now admitted before the court the she hit Ana, but still maintained all that happened was just an accident and she was sorry for that.
"I am very sorry. The cell phone hit Ana. This was an accident because I did not intend to hit her," Naomi Campbell said.
