Model, bounty hunter and Hollywood socialite Domino Harvey has been found dead in the bathtub of her West Hollywood home.
Harvey, 35, was the daughter of Oscar-nominated actor Laurence Harvey (original "The Manchurian Candidate") and the subject of "Domino," an action biography due in theaters later this summer.
Domino Harvey was a Ford model who quit her successful career to instead capture fugitives and bail-jumping criminals. "The real satisfaction is putting the sleazebags in jail," she once told an interviewer. "I just do what I have to do to make a living."
Domino Harvey checked into a Hawaiian rehabilitation clinic in 1997, after selling the rights to her life story. It was said that Domino Harvey had managed to kick her addiction. Police suspects drug overdose in model’s death.
"We were enormously saddened to hear of Domino's untimely passing," producer Samuel Hadida said in a statement. "Although our film is not intended as a biographical piece, hers was the dynamic personality and indomitable spirit that spawned an exciting adventure, not just onscreen, but in real life."
However, Domino Harvey’s latest adventure was not fun: last month she was arrested and charged with conspiracy to distribute drugs, possession, trafficking and racketeering. Domino was facing life in jail on charges of drug dealing, crossing state lines for unlawful activity and having property that was used in or obtained through criminal activity. Domino remained under house arrest pending trial, and she was ordered to wear an electronic tag and subjected to a regime of drug and alcohol testing.
Domino Harvey had sold the rights to her life story several years ago. The “Domino” film is due for release in August, but the release date may be delayed. Domino is played by British actress Keira Knightley, with other parts taken by Christopher Walken, Mickey Rourke and Jacqueline Bisset.
