Did you know that Province of Ontario’s definition of culture excludes fashion? Perhaps that's the real reason why the upcoming L'Oreal Fashion Week in Toronto presents seventeen (!) runway shows spread across six days.

In any case, Fashion Design Council of Canada and MPP Cheri DiNovo will try to challenge the Province of Ontario's definition of culture. Among the notable supporters of this action are Linda Lewis, Chair of School of Fashion at Ryerson University and Canadian designer Shawn Hewson of sportswear label Bustle Clothing.
