Heather Mills was shocked that People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) dismissed her from the ranks of the activist group.

Heather Mills, once an animal rights campaigner was reportedly dropped from PETA's ranks after Paul McCartney's daughter Mary refused to shoot an ad campaign for the organization unless they severed their ties with Mills.

Heather Mills, who is currently involved in a bitter divorce battle with former Beatles singer Sir Paul McCartney, revealed to entertainment show EXTRA that she had learnt the news through a friend, and that PETA had not bothered to inform her personally.

"I was just shocked. I thought, 'Oh, God, what's this?' My girlfriend called me. That's how I first heard, and said, 'I'm really, really sorry to hear the bad news,'" Contactmusic quoted her, as telling the show.

 

"I fell really, really sad about it. They didn't send me a letter or call me up saying, 'We don't wish to work with you anymore,'" Heather Mills said. [SOURCE: ANI]
