Cruise Collection by Chanel: Travel in Style!

Now Chanel offers full-size cruise collection in addition to travel-friendly beauty collection.

Karl Lagerfeld has a message for fashionistas: Travel in style, not sweat pants, and look pretty.

Starting this summer, Chanel offers full-size cruise collection in addition to travel-friendly beauty gems.

Chanel cruise collection was presented in New York last week, with Chanel fans watching, including Julianne Moore, Naomi Watts and Mischa Barton. Barton said one of her favorites was a black party dress that had a thick gold band fastened at the waist with a shiny rose.

Chanel travel collection was comprised of chic, edgy and feminine looks meshing classic Chanel silhouettes with a rock-star sensibility.

Chanel cruise collection for summer 2006 features unusual footwear — flat, knee-length Grecian sandals in leather with interweaving and silver buckles. We can totally see ourselves on a plane in these sandals with straps cutting in our swollen ankles.

Most styles were in black and white, interrupted by bright spots of color or muted neutral tones. A standout was a floor-length navy blue belted coat that resembled a sweeping ball gown over a sensible swimsuit.

Other styles included a floaty white chiffon blouse with a short black skirt, blue shorts with a high-neck top and jacket, and a black-and-white swimsuit paired with a luxe cover-up.
