Winter 2006-2007 Fashion Trends, From Toronto Runways
Upcoming winter will be less colourful and way more stylish, according to Canadian designers who presented their collections last night at Fashion Week in Toronto sponsored by L'Oreal Paris.
Upcoming winter will be less colourful and way more stylish, according to Canadian designers who presented their collections last night at Toronto Fashion Week sponsored by L'Oreal Paris.
Despite the fact that many big Canadian designers chose not to participate in Toronto Fashion Week this time, we have seen very impessive presentations, including aboriginal fashion by Fashion Nations and very elaborate and expensive leather and furs by Izzy Camilleri.
Classicists were thrilled by the balance of soft and sharp tailoring presented by Comrags and the ultra-elegant lines of their comfortable wide trousers.
Montreal-based Fairyesque label made their Toronto debut with flamboyant yet romantic and ethereally pretty Russian-inspired dresses.
Joeffer Caoc did not disappoint fans who have come to expect sexy yet wearable creations from him. Joeffer offered multi-hued, multi-layered collection which was no less provocative than his previous forays into the shades of human sexuality.
Among the noticeable trends we will enjoy next winter are:
1. Full fluid pants, draped and flared.
2. Wide leather corset-like belts, over dresses and leather jackets.
3. Wool shorts for winter.
4. Leggins with everything, very Gossard and Madonna.
5. Coats with wide collars and oversized detailes.
6. Chunky padlock and keys details.
As always, the four-day fashion bonanza attracted style-conscious fashgion followers of all ages and types keen to see what the Canadian designers have in store for the upcoming season.
Today we look forward to runway presentations of Zoran Dobric, Andy The-Anh and David Dixon, among others.
