In her one-time collection for Swedish fashion titan, H&M, Stella McCartney is showing her best: sharp tailoring, cool dominatrix-type feminity, voluminous tops and skinniest bottoms.

What a refreshing relief after all these billowy skirts, camisoles and grand-ma cardigans, let me add.

We also loved the effortless chic of white shirtdress - although we will probably wear one with pants or jeans. And a surefire hit is the line of washed silk dresses, in muted teal and garnet, with diamante details - just in time for Christmas.

"My one-time collection for H&M is pretty much like the pieces I do for my own signature collection," says Stella McCartney, "It is built around separates. Styling is the key."
