Andrea Lewis, Carl Henry and Divine Brown to Perform at World AIDS Day Concert
The line-up for the upcoming World AIDS Day Concert to be held on December 1, 2005 was released yesterday.
Degrassi’s Andrea Lewis; Juno nominee R&B Hip Hop artist Carl Henry; and FLOW Soul Search winner Jillian Cameron will perform at the upcoming World AIDS Day Concert to be held on December 1, 2005.
Also announced on the concert billet is the vocal phenomenon Divine Brown, the award winning group In Essence, R&B Soul sensation Glen Lewis, spoken Word artist Dwayne Morgan, Toni!, Demo Cates, Fiddle Step, and the COBA Dancers.
These stars are also joined by high profile political and community leaders such as the Hon. Jean Augstine, MP for Etobicoke Lakeshore, John Tory, Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, and Janet Mellor, Executive Director, Peel HIV/AIDS Network.
This explosive evening will be co-hosted by Canadian Idol judge Farley Flex and Entertainment Tonight Canada’s Cheryl Hickey.
The World AIDS Day Concert to be held at the prestigious Hammerson Hall of the Living Arts Centre.
The World AIDS Day Concert will help raise awareness of HIV/AIDS worldwide and is expected to be the largest event in Canada to commemorate this important day.
All proceeds from The World AIDS Day Concert will be donated to the Peel HIV/AIDS Network and A Child's Voice Foundation.
World AIDS Day is a commemorative international celebration of the progression and focus of HIV/AIDS awareness held annually on December 1st worldwide.
